Happy New Year!

I’m not going to lie, I slept through the New Year this year.

Every year I’m awake for the 9pm kiddy fireworks (on TV) and I barely manage to stay awake for the midnight ones.

However, this New Year I didn’t bother, I went to bed.  Dean and Billy woke me for midnight and then it was straight back to sleep.

We were all pretty much rocked by what 2020 presented us with in terms of Covid-19, Australia had horrific bush fires before that as well.

I just wanted to ease into 2021, not make too much racket and go from there.

Turns out we’ve got more clusters here in Australia and now masks are mandatory where I live, in Greater Sydney.  They also found someone in Queensland with the South African strain of Covid-19 which is apparently meant to be even more contagious!!!!

While I knew it wouldn’t disappear at the stroke of midnight (although I’m sure we were all hoping it would), I didn’t think it would end up on our (Australia’s) doorstep AGAIN.  I naively thought that we were on the mend.

Although, I spoke to my cousin who is in the US Navy and she said American’s laugh at Aussies at our numbers because they appear so minimal compared to other parts of the world!!!!!

WHAT’S THIS GOT TO DO WITH DOGS AND THE NEW YEAR?

Well I just wanted to wish everyone a Happier New Year for 2021.

I didn’t want to make this a post about New Year Resolutions!

Every time I open my e-mail that’s what I’m hit with and it’s sooooo annoying.
