If I didn’t see this on the news I wouldn’t have believed it myself.

We were watching morning TV, The Today Show, a few mornings ago and heard this story about Banjo the Staffy.

I’ve been around Staffy’s all my life, I know they can be such sooks but they are also pretty tough.

They are a great family dog and they love their people.

When I heard Banjo’s story and that he was a Staffy, I thought yep only a Staffy would have the ‘balls’ to do something like that.

BANJO’S STORY

Five Year old Banjo and his 78 year old owner were out on their morning walk along the Casuarina Beach, in Darwin, on Monday morning.

The tide was around knee deep when Banjo ran into the water to cool off.

His owner said he heard Banjo yelp and turned around to see a CROCODILE had him by the rear end.

Banjo turned around and bit the crocodile, causing it to release him!!!!

His owner said the saltwater crocodile was probably about 3 metres long.

He said that Banjo probably jumped on the crocodile as he entered the water.

Banjo’s dad said that he didn’t take his phone while on the walk.

They called into the vet on the way home.

Banjo has three lacerations on his back as a reminder of the bout.

He was very sore but typically a staffy, he was happy.
