Merry Christmas 2021!

Hey Woofa’s,

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

Wow to say that this year has been a roller coaster ride would be an understatement!

This time last year we were all hoping that Covid-19 was done and dusted, boy were we wrong.

2021 proved to be a most trying one when it came to dealing with the pandemic, mainly, for us, due to lockdowns.

Our area went through one of the strictest lockdowns we had in New South Wales.  Although, let’s not forget the Melbournites who were constantly in and out of lockdown and for the longest of times.

I never in a million years thought it possible that I would not be able to run my Dog Grooming Salon because the Government said so!

Or not be able to see family members, having borders shut down…………it was as if we were living a movie.

The only ones that enjoyed lockdowns were the dogs.  They got to be with their families 24/7 and boy did they love it.

The downside however was, when most of us could work again, the dogs became a bit anxious being on their own again.

Sadly, I think this year put a lot of fear in people!   : (

ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE!

What we can take away from this year is to cherish time spent with loved ones.

Whether they be of the two legged and/or the four legged kind.

I think time is more precious than anything, spending time with those we love and doing things we love.

If you’re happy and healthy then you’re already on a good thing.

If you have loved ones to spend time with then even more so.

I think we need to remember to be kind as well, kind to ourselves and kind to others.

We’ve all had a rough trot and we all need to nurture ourselves and others.

On a different note, I think Billy has the most presents under the Christmas Tree, this should not surprise me at all though!

A CHRISTMAS TALE!

We were at my Aunty’s 60th Birthday last weekend.

I was speaking with my younger cousin and she was expressing how she found something out about Santa (I will not say exactly what so as not to ruin Christmas for anyone else).

She said now she ‘knows’, Christmas just isn’t the same : (

I understood what she meant because when I was her age and found something out about Santa I felt the same way.

However, I was trying to explain to her that, unfortunately this is a part of growing up.

That now it’s more about the ‘spirit of Christmas’ and getting together with family, friends, and puppies of course.

And that’s what we need to remember more than anything this year, amongst the ups and downs, it’s people’s spirit and the spirit of Christmas that we need to cherish.

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

No matter where you are or who you spend it with – have a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
