Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

For some it’s just another day that’s been commercialised for Retail Shop Owners etc!   For other’s it means everything, it’s all about love and showing those around you that you are loved, and then there’s those that are somewhere in the middle.

I think the meaning of Valentine’s Day depends on where you are at in your life.

Dean and I went all out for our first and second Valentine’s Days  and from then on, to me,  it’s the little things that mean more.

My friend and I were chatting yesterday and she was saying how Mother’s Day and Her Birthday mean more to her than a commercialised day.  I have to agree, Birthday’s are the ones to celebrate more because that’s the day YOU came into the world.

Don’t get me wrong Valentine’s Day can be fun but it’s not the be all or end all that some people make it out to be.

WHAT’S THIS GOT TO DO WITH DOGS?

I don’t know about you but, I fall in love with dogs at first sight!

I believe in love at first sight when it comes to animals and especially dogs.

Dogs have this way of looking right into your soul, it’s like they scan your soul and decide on the spot if you’re the one for them.

I feel each time a dog looks into my soul, any walls or barriers I put up for humans, they don’t exist when it comes to dogs.

Dogs have this innocence and wise old soul feel all wrapped into one.  When they show they trust you, you can’t turn away from that.

It’s my kryptonite.

Each and every dog that comes into my Grooming Salon holds a special place in my heart.  They are my extended dog family.

When a new dog visits the Salon, I mention to the owner that I have to take time for their dog to get to know me before they trust me.  It’s about the dog, and the dog feeling comfortable with me AND the grooming process.

So let’s take this day to send our dog’s all the love they deserve because  they ooze unconditional love for us.

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!

Married at First Sight is currently airing on our TV’s and many of us can’t understand how people can marry someone they’ve never met!!!

I fell for my three dogs, Henry, Isabel and now Billy on first sight.

I didn’t get to go and choose them from a litter of pups!  I had friends who knew what I was like send me pictures of them and it was a done deal.

I looked into their puppy dog eyes and it was love at first sight.

REASONS WHY IT’S LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: –

1. Dog’s don’t judge
2. Dog’s want to be with you
3. Dog’s will defend and protect you
4. Dog’s don’t sweat the small stuff
5. Dog’s love us no matter what
6. Dog’s are loyal above and beyond
7. Dog’s don’t disrespect you
8. Dog’s will snuggle with you
9. Dog’s feel your pain
10. Dog’s feel your happiness
11. Dog’s read your energy
12. Dog’s know us better than we know ourselves
13. Dog’s don’t care what we look like
14. Dog’s don’t care about our weight
15. Dog’s don’t have a mean bone in their body (it’s situations we put them in that cause reaction)
16. Dog’s ooze unconditional love
17. Dog’s don’t question that love
18. Dog’s are playful
19. Dog’s make us laugh
20. When life is tough, snuggling with your dog helps
21. Dog’s are ALWAYS happy to see you
22. Dog’s will listen to you

This list could go on fur-ever, dog’s find a way to climb into your heart and stay there forever.
