Hey Woofa’s,
I’ve been lucky enough to be able to give myself some time off work over the Christmas break.
During this time I’m usually looking around for movies to watch.
As a dog lover, I do tend to steer clear from the dog movies though.
There’s ALWAYS a part in the movie where it’s extremely sad and it’s usually something to do with the dog!!!
As a dog lover, I’ve actually lived through ‘those’ scenes! It’s not easy! It brings back all the real life stuff!!
Which is why it’s taken me so long to actually watch Clifford The Big Red Dog!
This movie has been out for a while and as stated above, it’s taken me a while to watch it.
BUT I’m so glad that I finally did.
It’s a great family friendly movie.
AND NO – ‘that’ scene that I’m talking about, it’s not in there. YAY!
It’s all about love and understanding, with a touch of magic thrown in.
Oh and you can’t pass up the love between a girl and her dog!
This is the premise of the movie the love Emily has for Clifford.
Emily and her Uncle Casey are on their way to school (her mum is away on business) when they spot
Mr Bridwell’s tent of rescue animals. Mr Bridwell’s tent appears to be so much more than what it actually is.
Uncle Casey tries really hard to be an adult and denies Emily of the little cute puppy Mr Bridwell shows her.
But somehow when she gets home she finds a little red puppy squirming around in her backpack. She manages to convince her Uncle to keep Clifford for the night with the view of taking him back in the morning.
However, all the love she has for Clifford turns him into a giant 10 foot dog.
This is where the adventure begins, they have to hide HUGE Clifford from the Nasty Landlord who has a no pet policy.
There’s many adventures had around NYC, some fun moments and then some not so fun ones! I’m not giving anything away.
Then, together with friends along the way, they have to keep him safe from a biotech company called Lyfegro, CEO Zac Tieran. He wants Clifford for himself and makes many attempts at locating and taking Clifford.
They have their ups and downs but all in all, it’s a happy ending.
I’m not going to lie, there was a part in the movie where I had watery eyes but it wasn’t too bad.
Clifford The Big Red Dog is an American Scholastic children’s book series originally published in 1963.
It was written by Norman Bridwell.
Together Emily Elizabeth and Clifford teach the world how to love big!
I don’t know about you but as a dog lover I find…
