HAPPY EASTER FOR YOUR FUR KIDS!!!!!

Hey Woofa’s,

Can you believe at the end of this week it’s going to be Easter!!!!!  Where does the time go???

How do you guys celebrate Easter?

Our festive celebrations are spent with family at Dean’s Nanna’s house.  And we also take our mum’s to the Easter Show!!!

Last year I covered pretty much why you can’t give your dog’s chocolate so this year I want to give you ways you can include your fur baby into the Easter Celebrations.

But firstly do you know how chocolate eggs and bunnies became part of Easter??

HOW DO CHOCOLATE  EGGS AND RABBITS RELATE TO EASTER?

I must admit I had to google this because apart from the death and resurrection of Jesus, I wasn’t sure how chocolate eggs and rabbits came into the picture!!!!

I found this awesome article that pretty much summed it up nicely Origin Of Easter: from Pagan Festivities and Christianity to bunnies and chocolate eggs!

7 WAYS YOUR FUR KID’S CAN ENJOY EASTER TOO!!!

1. The Easter Egg Hunt – if you want your fur kids to be involved in the hunt, you could hide their favourite treats around the yard.  Or if they are more toy driven, hide their favourite toys.  Or use dog friendly chocolate and hide them.  Make sure you do this either before, or AFTER the kids have done their Easter Egg Hunt!

2. Give your fur kids a gift basket of their favourite things – treats, raw bones, nibbles, toys, blankets, balls, frisbee etc.

3. Okay, just this once dress them up in the cute bunny ears or easter outfits and take pics.  Send them to all your friends.

4. Buy them dog friendly Easter eggs and/or chocolate from the pet store.

5. Make your own dog friendly Easter Treats!

6. Spend time with them over the Easter Break, include them in family outings or activities in the backyard.  Or take them for a walk to their favourite spot.

7. Snuggle with them on the couch, binge watch your favourite show, eat your Easter eggs and give your dog their dog friendly chocolate.

No matter what your beliefs, Easter for us is about spending it with family and friends.  Enjoying good food, sharing stories and having laughs.  Most importantly having a four legged fur baby by our side all the way.

Do you guys do anything to celebrate Easter?  What do you get up to?  Let us know in the comments below.
