Happy Dog Father’s Day to all the Dog Father’s out there, you guys matter too.

Wow, we’ve reached September and I naively thought, when Covid19 first started) that it would’ve been over by now!!!!!

Boy oh boy was I wrong, unfortunately I think it’s going to be around for a while longer : (

Anyway, as we all know by now Covid19 does play a part in how we’re doing our celebrations this year.  With social distancing, wearing masks, isolation and being restricted in how many numbers we can have over, it’s all daunting.

Some are even protesting about having to isolate, little do they realise (as frustrating as it can be) it’s for our own good.

Today, the first Sunday in September, we celebrate Father’s Day here in Australia and yes time for social gatherings!!!!!

We celebrate everything about our Dad’s.

Dean and I have already celebrated with his parents so on Sunday we’ll meet up with mine, to keep the numbers down.

Normally we would celebrate it all together but as we know, it’s best to be safe than sorry.  Our parents are in the danger zone age wise so we don’t want to risk their health.

HAPPY DOG FATHER’S DAY TO DEAN! 

Hi Dino,

Mum’s typing this for me because, well, I don’t have fingers to type with – der!!!

On this Father’s Day Dino I just want to say in the four years that you’ve been with me and my Dog Mum you really are like a Dog Dad to me.

Here’s a list of all the things you do for me Dino –

1. You take me on rides in the car, which I love;
2. When mum’s not looking you sneak me some biscuits you have with your tea;
3. I like it when you throw the ball to me, because mum can’t throw and it’s just embarrassing;
4. It’s fun when you and mum take me on walks together;
5. I like it when you chase me up and down the hallway;
6. You play rough with me, which I like too;
7. Just now you bought home a big bag of dog bones for me – YUMMO;
8. You take me in the car to McDonalds – and sometimes get me a treat too;
9. Mum’s not great with vomit, so occasionally if I have a vomit you clean it up;
10. You make sure I have my jacket on in the morning (when mum’s working) so I’m not cold;
11. When mum’s working late you feed me;
12. You and mum take turns opening the door for me in the middle of the night when I hear a noise and need to investigate – or to take a pee;
13. You drive us to Dog Training;
14. I like it when you take me to Nanny and Poppy’s and I like pats off Gran-Nan;
15. I also like it when I get to go to the other Nan and Pop’s house;
16. I’m sorry for snoring in bed Dino but dude YOU SNORE TOO;
17. Thanks for keeping the lawns nice for me to roll on, and poop on and lay on in the sun;
18. I like the new steps you put in the backyard for me to get to the lower level, much better than the old ramp;
19. Thanks for buying me new balls, because I lose them and can’t find them, so you get me new ones;
20. Mum likes it when you fix the blinds up after I’ve gotten too excited seeing a cat outside and mess them up;
21. Thanks for giving me baths when mum’s too busy, or on her lunch break – even though I don’t like them;
22. I like being able to sleep between you and mum each night.

Basically, Dino I love hanging out with you.

Dino there’s so many things you do for me and I love you for it – woof woof!!!

I’m lucky I get to spend every day and night with you and my mum!!

Covid19 has stopped a lot of celebrations we would normally have, so Father’s Day with our Dogs is even more special.
