HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY BILLY!

Yes our Billy turns 9 today.

Geez I remember when he was only 6 weeks old barking at himself in the mirror….

Where do the days go?

We are ‘those people‘ that do celebrate our dog’s birthday!  I say WHY NOT!

Back in the day (geez sound old much) our dogs spent more time outside and WE as people went outside to play with them.

Times have changed, more and more our dogs are INSIDE WITH us now.

So it only makes sense that we celebrate their milestones too.

Am I right??

We didn’t throw him a doggy birthday, we just celebrate it within our small family of Dean, myself and Billy.

Given that we’re right off the back of Easter I wasn’t sure what to buy him either.

WHAT DID BILLY GET FOR HIS BIRTHDAY 2021?

Okay, so for Easter he got his two Doggy Easter eggs.

For his birthday he got a new jumper a.k.a Warmie!

He does have a few jumpers because our house gets cold in winter, when we don’t have the fireplace on.

The Brand is DGG (Doggone Gorgeous) Warmie, he is classed as extra large??

Also we got him his own doggy chocolate.

Dean is our resident chocoholic!

Every time Dean has his head in the fridge getting chocolate Billy is right beside him.

So now Dean has his Chocolate and Billy can have a few of his own doggy friendly chocolate.

He also woke up to snuggles in bed and lots of belly rubs.

He’s currently beside me asleep, one of his favourite past times lol

WHAT DID WE MAKE FOR BILLY’S 9TH BIRTHDAY?

In previous years I’ve made Billy, birthday cakes out of meat, birthday cakes out of pumpkin and then birthday cup cakes.

This year we did something a little different.

A customer of mine, her granddaughter was doing fund raising for her school.  The product on sale was cookie dough.

They were heaps of different flavours, however I was more interested in the cookie dough for dogs.

The brand is Billy G’s Cookie Dough – if that wasn’t a sign I don’t know what is?

I bought two tubs worth!

We decided to make these for Billy’s Birthday a.k.a Billy’s birthday biscuits.

Dean wanted to make them, Billy waited patiently and in 20mins the first batch was ready.

He loved them.  No he didn’t have them all in one hit he had 5!

Out of the 1kg tub we got 48 Billy Birthday Biscuits.

WHAT MORE CAN WE DO FOR BILLY’S BIRTHDAY?

1. Dean just informed me Billy will be going for a drive (he loves going for drives);
2. Billy will have more sleep time;
3. more snuggle time;
4. play time;
5. and just being spoilt and loved time.

WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN?

It’s our Billy’s 9th Birthday and we wanted to share it with you.
